Top 5 Film & Television Apps in Venezuela Q2 2022

Throughout the second quarter of 2022, the top film and television applications in Venezuela showed varying trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

Netflix experienced a peak in weekly downloads during mid-April, reaching approximately 89K. However, downloads gradually declined to around 56K by the end of June. Active users, on the other hand, remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 629K at the start of the quarter to 694K by the end.

Mi Movistar Venezuela saw a significant spike in downloads at the beginning of April, peaking at around 80K. This was followed by a general decline, ending the quarter at about 41K downloads. Active user numbers also fluctuated, starting at 98K and reaching a high of 169K in mid-June before settling at 139K by the end of the quarter.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias showed an upward trend in downloads, with a notable increase in early May, peaking at around 53K in the first week of June. Active users saw a significant rise, jumping from 10K at the start of the quarter to 172K by mid-June, before slightly decreasing to 136K by the end of June.

Disney+ maintained a steady download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 22K to 39K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, with a slight increase from 480K at the start of the quarter to 526K by the end. Revenue fluctuated mildly, peaking at $761 in late March and hovering around $500-$700 for the rest of the quarter.

Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live experienced a steady increase in downloads, reaching a high of approximately 29K in the last week of June. Active users also showed growth, starting at 81K and climbing to 116K by the end of the quarter.
